Partnering to Enhance...
Local Revenue
The expanding need for additional cellular antenna sites combined with today's economic conditions has created an ideal opportunity to utilize government-owned properties (land and existing structures) to not only help support the wireless capacity issues but to generate much needed revenue for government agencies by utilizing these properties for both rooftop and new cellular towers.
Public Safety
The need for better connectivity for public safety services - such as Police, Fire, and EMS operations, matches the concerns for better radio/cellular coverage. Additional cellular towers and rooftop sites can help communities address these issues by virtually eliminating drop zones and areas of poor coverage.
Wireless Coverage
As technology rapidly evolves, the amount of information being transmitted over cellular lines has increase exponentially. The demand for cellular coverage is universally affecting residents in our communities. Today, with two of our every three buyers of newly constructed homes choosing not to install traditional phone lines, potential homeowners are now focusing on neighborhoods that have sufficient wireless coverage. Ultimately, government agencies can and should play a major role in the proliferation if antenna sites. Additionally, these agencies should play a part in the process to design their respective local wireless network and have a voice in its management to assure that community needs are being met along with those of the wireless communications industry.
